We invite you to contact the Chair of the Executive Committee to indicate your interest in joining ACLCP. Membership is designed for libraries of not-for-profit, degree-granting institutions and other research libraries in Pennsylvania and contiguous states. For more details about membership standards, including a staff commitment to participate in the leadership and volunteer activities of the association, please see Article IV of the bylaws.

Membership Benefits

  • Access to member libraries’ circulating book collections for patrons affiliated with ACLCP schools (Students, faculty, and staff must present valid institutional ID cards at the time of checkout. See the Lending, Fines, and Lost Book Payments policy for more details regarding patron eligibility as well as fees associated with lost or damaged items.)
  • Fall conference attendance at member’s reduced rate
  • Spring conference attendance at member’s reduced rate
  • Five staff “vouchers” or “free registration passes” for use at ACLCP conferences each year
  • Opportunities for staff to participate on committees and in leadership roles
  • Opportunities for staff to serve as presenters and panelists at ACLCP conferences
  • Opportunities for staff to receive grant funding for peer-to-peer library visits and other forms of continuing education
  • Participate in group discussions through our global mailing list (aclcp-all@googlegroups.com) hosted by Google Groups. The ACLCP Global Mailing List is open to any employee or volunteer of an ACLCP member institution library. Note that ACLCP does not spend money on lobbying efforts. Administrative costs are zero as all elected officials are unpaid volunteers. ACLCP does devote some funding to contract labor for clerical support and web resources.
